*The following message arrives to the named person's personal mailbox. It is on a dull-gold colored piece or parchment, sealed with a wax rune and tied with blood-red ribbon. Furthermore the parchment is layed carefully inside a handcrafted oak box which is lined with a black silk material. The box is locked, however there is no key anywhere visible. The lock however, looks weak enough to be broken by a simple magic spell*

She looks over the scroll after casting unlock on the chest. As she reads a look of curiosity crosses her face. She absentmindedly taps her lower lip with her index finger.

Hmm, very curious. Summoned? Well I will just have to see what this is all about.

She carefully closes the empty chest and places it on the open windowsill. The sky is still steel blue as she looks up at the first few stars as they began twinkle brightly.

Telia,
Abominox,
Mortemer

All received the boxex, and after magically opening them, they decide to accept their offers and place their empty chests on their sills as the sun creeps under the horizon.

Alessandra returned home after a long day of battle and all that was on her mind was a nice hot bubble bath, so to find the small chest was a surprise. : she turned it over and noticed the lock and looked around for a key. Finally she cast .. Ex Por.. and looked inside at the ornate parchment. She read it carefully pondering who would have sent this and why had she been chosen... None the less it intrigued her and she placed the box on the windowsill before heading to her bath thinking about anything but battles and sigils...

Rosar returned home shortly after sunset. Word of the acquittal had spread quickly, but by the time it had reached his ear, Malorn had disappeared into the world. Tired and embittered, he wished only to set himself down for the night. As he prepared himself for sleep, a stiff knocking filled the confines of his chambers. He thought to ignore it, but it did not abate quickly enough for him, and frustration overrode fatigue. Grabbing the knob, he viciously swung the door open. The maidservant Aynora stood in front of the doorway, a shocked expression on her face.

"What is it, Aynora?" She started at his astringent inquiry. Rosar did not mean to snap at her, but the day's events had weighed on him. He sighed heavily and loosened his muscles, trying to put her at ease. Her relief was palpable. He repeated, less severely:

"What is it, Aynora?" It was then he noticed that she was carrying a small wooden box in her arms. He glanced at it, then looked back to her.

"This came for you today, milord. I-it seems to be locked, but it didn't arrive with a key." She gingerly handed him the container. Taking the box, he smiled lightly at her.

"Alright, Aynora. Thank you. You can go." She smiled and bowed her head, then departed down the corridor as Rosar closed the door behind her.

As she said, it was locked and there was no key, but the lock seemed quite weak. In fact, it seemed almost too weak. His curiosity soon gave way to suspicion. He erected a small magical barrier around the box - strong enough to contain a small-sized blast or cloud of poison but tailored to allow limited interaction with the lock and lid. If the lock was as weak as it appeared, it would be all he needed.

Ex Por

The lock immediately clicked open.

Ort Por Ylem

The lid flung open then fell back into place with a clack. It was untrapped. The barrier faded. Rosar lifted the lid, revealing a parchment inside. He looked it over carefully, and his intrigue grew. To sit on a council of the finest magical minds in Sosaria could help along his own research. He was curious, however, as to how this "B.M." managed to discover that Rosar was continuing the work of his old mentor. While several papers published by his teacher were also signed by Rosar, he had made little progress on his own. He shrugged lightly. He had nothing to hide and everything to learn. Following the instructions in the letter, he set the box upon his windowsill.

He drifted to sleep, wondering of the price his 'host' mentioned.
