Arlin leaned against the cold stone walls of the Abbey. The sighed and let his head fall back, watching the clouds wander aimlessly through the night sky. Silver rays danced across the ocean, projected from the moon Trammel high above. Arlin sighed, and turned his attention back towards the road, awaiting the arrival of a much needed caravan.

Sure enough as though on cue, A packhorse, flanked by two riders in red, rode up the damp road. Arlin stood up and snapped his fingers, bringing his Lt. and a new private to attention. General Cuthbert saluted Arlin, and Arlin returned the sentiment. He stepped off his mount and they exchanged handshakes and smiles.

"I've got some medical supplies for you here Arlin, and some fish for your troops" Cuthbert stated. Arlin grinned, as this was exactly what his troops needed. Living off of bread and salted beef wasn't exactly a lavish life style.

"Many thanks Cuthbert, we'll return the favor as soon as we can. Is thar anythin' that Jehlom be in need of?" Cuthbert shook his head and held up a hand.

"Consider it a gift, old friend. If I require the same aid in the future, I wouldnt mind a similar gift however." He grinned, and they chatted awhile more before Cuthbert set out for his home isle once again. Arlin had his troops return the supplies to his base, and he set off to check on the outpost he had assigned Corporal Dan to guard.

The city was quiet, as were the guard patrols. Peace had settled over the city, and it seemed more welcoming these days. Arlin had noticed a steady stream of activity around the Abbey, and the citizens seemed to be comming out of thier houses more often. The half-ogre smiled before sliding through the forest, back to his own base.

There was still much work to do.
