The Stage was set, the target in place. It was a cold afternoon in Hanse Hostel, sitting at one table far into the corner were a few from the Church of Void and other various dark characters. At the other table a bit for relaxed crew, Ditto, Cat, and Orion sitting back talking amongst themselves and laughing at each others stories. Quickly the distraction was made and the only Dark Order Soldier Mave left the Hostel to check on the alleged Sanctus members bad mouthing his order. Murdoc slowly slipped through the shadows and appeared sudden and sliced ditto once across the neck with his cleaver infecting her with a lethal dose of poison. Ditto tried to run and let out a horrid shriek and then fell to the ground... dead. Murdoc stood up and quickly surveyed the room catching Mave running in from outside, Murdoc quickly ran for the door but Mave quickly caught up to him. Murdoc dug his feet in and swang his cleaver infecting Mave with a lethal dose of poison and quickly followed it up with a bleeding attack to his side. As Mave stumbled for his weapon Murdoc let off one wither spell and then quickly another sending Mave to his grave. Quickly catching his breath Murdoc slips back into the shadows to retrieve his payment for a job well done.

Mave stood in the corner of the Hostel looking over the room. It was a quiet night, few people strolling in and out, Ditto and Cat sat a table with two men exchanging stories. One of the men seemed strangely quiet, the smell of his cigar filling the room. Just then, a man ran up to Mave.

"One of your order is by the stables with a group of men from Sanctus. I believe that there will be trouble" he whispered.

"Who is the Order member?"

"I believe his name was Joseph... something" the man replied.

Grumbling below his breath, Mave walked out to the stables to try to settle the dispute. As he walked out the door, he saw that the area was deserted. At that moment, he heard a scream come from inside. His blood turned cold as he realized what had happened. Bursting back through the door he saw a black cowled figure flee out the front. Seeing the fallen form of Ditto and that Cat was trying to attend to her, Mave broke into a run after the assassin. Mave ran through the front door, hand reaching for his blade when he felt the two quick stabs to his side. As he stumbled to one knee, he saw the massive bleeding and smelled the foul stench of the poison that the blade had left in it's wake. The poison worked quickly and as Mave fell, driven down by cursed spells, he caught a glimpse of the murderer fleeing into the night.

"Someone will pay for this" he vowed, and just before he lost himself in the darkness of death he smelled the faint, familiar odor of a cigar...
