The hostel had been the kindest host for the night past. Willow suspected that was because she didn't recognize any of the inn's working faces. She pulled out a piece of parchement, a quill and a bottle of ink and quietly made her way to the door. Last night was hell, her brothers and sisters in arms needed all the rest they could get. She still didn't feel worthy of their compassion. This oppertunity was an excuse to relieve them of her company. She silently opened the door to the tavern, shutting it behind her and made her way to the table. Only half of the candles were lit, which suited Willow just fine. She had always thought it was too bright here anyhow. She placed everything on the table and began to write.

Dearest Arahim,
It would be in your best interest to be armed tonight. I endured your attack, you shall now endure mine. I want you prepared, so you have no excuse when I land you on your arse. Until then, good luck with your search for fame and glory.

With Regards,
Willow Smythe

PS: How is your vacation I mean, your quest for the cure coming?

Willow smirked with the last as she folded the note and handed it to the Sanctan courier.

My Dear Willow,

My utmost admiration for unearthing perhaps the world's last Sanctan. In future, choose a more worthy bearer of your words, as he was unable to reach me with anything resembling a timely fashion.

Alas, your challenge went unanswered.

Truth be known, the fervor in your letter came as somewhat of a shock. If I had been privy to the knowledge that Willow Smythe/Reaucher/etc, the 'Enforcer' of Stonegate, was so delicate a flower, whose petals bruised with such ease, truly would I have kept my words less truthful, and more honeyed. The fault is mine, and so I do apologize. Both for missing the date, and for hurting your feelings.

If you still feel bent upon evening the scales between us, seek me out. I am far too demure to give chase.

I am lacking in subtlety, and should leave a clear trail for any so inclined to follow. And I travel armed.

Til then,
Arahim
