The minter scurried to the back and retrieved the box, returning it to Eclyse with a patient smile. "As ye wish My Lady."

Eclyse opened the box and pulled out the ankh pendant that had been given to her by the gypsy girl on the night of the joust. Carefully, she dropped it into a velvet waistpouch and returned the box to the minter. The invitation still hung elegantly in its place on the bulletin board. Passing by, she paused to touch the corner tenderly, then hurried out the door to finish the last of her tasks in the few scant hours before the wedding.
