She watched him disappear again. Every time he did, she was left wondering when the next time she would see him would be. As much as she looked forward to seeing him, she was adjusting to it not happening often. Actually, she was enjoying it. She needed the time to work on butter flavors and milk cows, and she got a little thrill out of his unpredictable arrivals in Blackmarsh.

At first this thing between them had completely terrified her. She spent most of her time miserable, snapping at her friends, always on the edge, fluctuating between sadness and anger. Full of confusion and fear, always alone even when she was surrounded by people in a tavern. Her thoughts always wandering to Azunda and what the hell was happening. Lately, it had started to change. She had accepted her feelings for him, and their relationship being complete taboo. She was still a little terrified, but the risk was exciting.

These days, she was almost happy. She had figured out that what was between them was less about romance and more about a mutual desire to be distracted from something else. For her, it was mundane every day chores that brought absolutely no excitement to her life. For him, it was the mirror. She didn't know if there was more to it for him, or not. She didn't like to bother him with silly questions. This was more than just a distraction for her. She, although oblivious as usual, was falling in love with this maniac.

She didn't know for sure, if Jareth would end up right in the end. Maybe she would learn the hard way about people from Umbra. At this point, she didn't care at all. She figured next she'd make berry pies, and maybe some apple butter, while she killed time until her next adventure with Azunda.
