I love snow. Send some this way. You'd think in New Hampshire I'd have enough. _________________ Butter

Here in the Canadian rain forest, we've had a light winter! In fact, it's nice and warm out and the trees are starting to bud already!
Which is funny because the winter Olympics are next week, and they are currently trucking in snow from other mountains because we don't have enough. |

Well when I left for work at 5:45 pm on 2/5 it just started snowing, by the time I got off work at 6:45 am there was 14.5 inches. Here's the what I walked out and found after watching the snow fall for 12 hours.
I think from now on, I may have to keep a shovel in my car. |

Eventually I will live where it snows like this. But with my luck, it will never there snow again once I am there. I have some of the worst luck. =( Last winter we had an arctic front that dropped snow to the hills around our house, it was like we were in a bubble. Not a single snowflake touched the ground near us. Now people that were at lower altitudes than us got snow BUT NO NOT US!!! Gah, there have been other times but it only ends in sadness. I've said it before, if you guys want this Californian sun, come and get it. _________________ Malorn ‎(12:14 AM):

I am well aware of the forecast...
We have had 4 years of hardly any snow, so when Will Kaldhel (Tom my fiance) and I decided to get married we picked a romantic date: 2/12, the Valentines Day weekend.
On Thursday we had to call everyone to cancel our wedding plans because:
1. the current snow that most likely will not be cleaned up in time
AND
2. the next front that comes through on Tuesday/Wedensday.
Our families are coming from the Shanandoah Valley, Southeast of Linchburg VA, North Carolina and upstate New York. Now mind you, our families are in the wedding party so we can't just go on without them, not that we would.
I spent all of Thursday and some of Friday on the phone canceling tux rentals, Church and so on.
We had not even sent out invites because Will's X had messed up the dates on his divorce papers so we were dealing with a lawyer in New York who was trying to find her. She seems to have disapeared and she was the one that requested the divorce. We finally just gave in to the reality that it just wasn't going to come off.
We are trying to reschedule it for April 9. By then we won't have snow and will have his paperwork fixed. We will let you guys know when we know so you can drop by if you are in the neighborhood. That was our entent but until he had his paperwork in hand we were waiting to tell everyone.
Now you are all invited to come if you are in the area. We will need an rsvp if you are coming so we can have a head count. _________________ Grand Duchess Molly Kaldhel

I live in Wisconsin. Also known as one of coldest regions of hell.
We got some dusting this morning.
There is talk of us getting a whole foot over the next week.
