This was prompted by a discussion in Stonegate's forum, as well as one I've had recently IRL.
The Rules:
No compliation CD's other than Movie Soundtracks or studio produced "Greatest Hits".
2 CD sets count as two picks, unless you specify only one of the disks.
CD's must be comercially available (no underground DJ handouts/selling them out of his van after the show)
You must currently own the album in one format or another (LP, Cassette, CD, Digital)
The challenge:
You have been stranded on a desert island with an iPod with magical everlasting batteries. The catch is, it only has five CD's on it.
What 5 CD's can you not live without? _________________

1 - Phantom of the Opera Highlights. This way I get four more instead of three, but still have Point of No Return, Phantom of the Opera and Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again on one CD.
2 - Les Miserable, Highlights. Same issue. London Version. I get Little People, the full lyrics that way too! (and an Eponine who whines. *sighs*)
3 - Coheed and Cambria, Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV: Volume I: Fuel for the Feeding End
4 - Evanescence - The Open Door
5 - My Chemical Romance - Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge
Edited to add which of the Apollo CDs I prefer. _________________ (4:45:41 PM) Jarem: It becomes increasingly difficult to feel noble in my causes when my cause is to defend my charge from her own violent tendencies.

1. Coheed and Cambria - The Second Stage Turbine Blade
2. Coheed and Cambria - In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth 3
3. Coheed and Cambria - Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV: Volume I: Fuel for the Feeding End
4. Coheed and Cambria - Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV: Volume II: No World for Tomorrow
(If I can only listen to five CD's, I am going to damn well ensure four of them are a story that I can pick apart and on which I can perform literary analysis.)
5. Dethklok - The Dethalbum (Simply so I have "Birthday Dethday" available once a year, and to scare away the locals) |

2. Queen of the Damned soundtrack (movie sucked but songs were good)
3. Rammstein "Mutter"
4. Rush "Tom Sawyer"

If we could have the CDs complete with CD photos my list would include some Hillary Duff for the stewardess value alone... seeing as Im on a deserted island and all. |

Firstly I reject the iPod and take the Zune.
1. Les Miserables - 3 CD complete symphonic set
2. Evanescence - Beauty In Darkness 2 CD set
That's mostly what my Zune is comprised of anyhow. =P _________________ Malorn ‎(12:14 AM):

Oh man.. This is difficult.. Ugh.. Let's see..
{1} Spoon - Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga
{2} the Raconteurs - Consolers of the Lonely
{3} the Raconteurs (gotta semi-serious Jack White infatuation, I guess) - Broken Boy Soldier
{4} Toadies - Hell Below, Stars Above
{5} Tool - Lateralus
Crap, out of space already. Can we make it top 10? I have left out several favorite bands, but couldn't bring myself to choose between those Raconteurs albums. |

1 & 2.) Phantom of the Opera (broadway edition)
3.) Disturbed- 10K fists
4.) Buckcherry- 15
5.) Prince- Purple Rain
My taste in music is soooooooooooooo varied that you would laugh to see my collection. Just came from the Theory of a Deadman/Halestorm concert. Saw Transiberian Orchestra in November as well as Daughtry, and I just bought tix to take my oldest son to see H.I.M at that house of blues in Cleveland. |

I feel like mine is really a wide variety, too. Its weird how you can go from one genre to a completely different one. But good music is good music.
Transiberian orchestra rocks, how were they live? |

LOL I have varied music, he just said that CD sets that have multiple discs count as that many... And I'd say those are likely my two favorite. _________________ Malorn ‎(12:14 AM):

Yeah, my tastes literally run from Brittany Spears and Christina Aguilara to Outkast, Garth Brookes, Pink, Evanescence, AFI, A7X, Musicals, Opera (I loved La Boheme even before Rent. ) Beethoven's nine symphony and a lot of his Sonatas...
*breathes in*
