you might this helpful if you want to convert human years to UO years:

Here are some facts relating to time in Ultima Online:

* Time in Britannia passes quickly compared to our Earth time.
* In 2 Earth hours an entire Britannian day will have passed.
* Twelve Britannian days makes one Earth day.
* Just as on Earth, a Britannian year has twelve months.
* Each Britannian month, however, consists of 73 days.
* This makes a Britannian year last 876 Britannian days, which is 73 Earth days.
* One Earth year equals five Britannian years.
* The release date of Ultima Online was in the Britannian year 289.

So - based on this - Tay was 19 when he 'left home' in Trinsic (when I began playing UO) so - 10 years later/50 UO Years later....he is 69.

I do think an rp child might walk about in dirty diapers for a bit..... on the other hand, if it suits the purpose of your rp to have that child become a young adult within a few months, that seems good also.

I am at a loss as to whether or not it really matters, so long as one does not introduce a prime-character-to-be as never-heard-of-before child who suddenly appears, wise beyond years and bringing along a potion (unheard of before) which will wipe out the entire community in one fell swoop.

One might be introduced as a temporary thing, claiming to be a child of an individual for some nefarious purpose (perhaps at the reading of a will?)

In any case, if any would care to debate this subject, or any other in IC, the Alderglen Academy would be delighted to entertain the debate. The Academy is open for any/all debates....... Use it!

Time...hmmm...I can't even figure out how to have a child...I can't lay down in the bed....so I figure I will have stand up sex...oh darn...I can't get my underwear off....hmmm....How the Heck did you make that baby? LOL
