|
I was DMing a game of World of Warcraft RPG (based on 3.5 rules) for a bunch of my work and college buddies today. We play every Sunday from 3-7 and watch football before and after and it's a great Sunday...but today...
Our session finally started this afternoon and I got the players where I hoped they would go. I have them setting up some modicum of civilization in Northrend, campaign takes place just before events of the current expansion pack take place. They were checking out a sink hole they discovered dangerously near their town. While exploring the sink hole, some minor separations happened and the group's Paladin wandered off on his own. One of my players was trying to become an assassin and this requires you to fulfill a contract to kill someone, solely for money, to activate the class. He took our a contract to kill a Tauren Runemaster in the group and chose this time to strike.
Well, the Paladin was gone, but there were other group members and long story short, a really awesome couple hours of talking, good roleplaying and fighting happened. Screw my plot and other stuff, I just kicked back, managed their combat and interactions, and the players practically ran the game for me while pounding the snot out of each other and expressing their characters. It was one of the best sessions I'd been apart of! It was also absurdly easy for me to GM. I did about 10 minutes of work, then kicked up my heels and watched em go |

So, this paladin. Was he captured and turned? We wish to know, trade minister. |
