To Governor Regent Starfire,

Regent, by virtue of election to your current post you must be at least a fair and wise woman although I do not know you personally. Tonight, a man arrested at the Protectorate meeting by the name of Raban Ne'Sveti and he was arrested by authority of the Kingdom of Sanctus.

I feel it is my duty as a foreign diplomat to bring our concerns to your attention that man was arrested in the middle of Britain by a foreign power (Sanctus) whom had absolutely no authority or jurisdiction to make an arrest in that case. I would cite Protetorate and Regency law but I would not presume to speak down to you in any capacity.

So, I urge you to order the immediate release of this illegally detained prisoner, Raban Ne'Sveti, by the Kingdom of Sanctus and to remind your friends in black and gold that their sovereignty extends only to the borders of their own city and they do not control the city of Britain. You are nearing a very slipperly slope, Governor Regent. I pray you do not lose your grip to the war-hawks in Sanctus.

It comes to our attention, your displeasure over the events of last evening. While your notice to the Lady Regent is an important one, she is a very busy woman and cannot personally handle your letter at this time.

We of the Protectorate wish to inform you that the arrest made by the Order of Sanctus was acknowledged, and sanctioned, by the Governmental control of Britain. We apologize for any displeasure you have experienced due to the event, particularly revolving around the confusion of authority. In retort, we wish to impart to you a similar concern...

Did your assassin have sanction from the Government of Britain, or Sovereignity, to attack a leader and speaker of the Protectorate, on the grounds of Britain?

We of the Protectorate wish to hear your answer to this question, and while your argument and concern is noted, we hold little worry in your demands.

Thank you for your swift reply in this matter. I do wish to have an official, notarized waiver granting the temporary authority to Sanctus to remove and detain the prisoner. You can forward that to City Hall here. In regards to your other concern, it is a most grave accusation to declare the captive citizen an Assassin of Umbra with the explicit intent, while acting under orders, to eliminate a foreign, state authority. An accusation neither myself nor any of my colleagues take lightly.

It would be in very poor taste to speculate as to the guilt or innocence of the accused before a proper trial has been conducted, which I am sure whatever authority takes possession will hold, so I will not. All I will tell is that while this man is a registered citizen of Umbra, he acted independently and without prior contact or encouragement from any governmental authority associated with Umbra. I cannot speak to his dealings with any other entities.

If justice is on the menu then let it be served, but let it be done by the proper authority and for the right reasons. There is no cause to treat any citizen of any nation with anything less than all deserved respect. Certain member parties of the Protectorate hold myself, my friends and the city I love in extremely poor repute. I would think this would be an opportunity to show onlookers that you are above such petty politics.

It comes to our attention that the prisoner, one Raban Ne'Sveti, has escaped from Sanctus custody by use of Illusionary magics. Your argument against this body still holds pertinence, and we will do our very best to exercise more fairness in our future actions.

In that extent of fairness, we of the protectorate, acknowledge a list of bounties out on the heads of innocents. It is in poor taste to assign a death sentence with only speculation as to the guilt or innocence of the occupiers of this list, before a proper trial has been conducted. While we are inclined to believe a man of high standing, that his assassin acted independently, the prior encouragement guiding his blade, was that of a bounty set by the Lord and Controller of your city of opperations.

If justice is on the menu then let it be served, but let it be done by the proper authority and for the right reasons. There is no causes to treat any citizen of any nation with anything less than all deserved respect. Certain member parties of Umbra, hold this body and certain members therein contained, in extremely poor repute. We would think this an opportunity to show the world you are above condoneing death for profit.

We of the Protectorate understand your complaint against our body, and hope that you acknowledge and understand ours. A bounty against our political leaders is an act of war. Raban Ne'Sveti was a prisoner of war. We of the Protectorate are currently at War with the Cult controlling your City, Lord Chairman.

Recinde the bounties and our reason and fairness will echo in our future actions.
