Vian Skyfire stood outside of castle Blackguard with his arms crossed observing the soldiers passing by.

He was proud of them. The Sanctus military had grown in size and strength dramatically in the last several months. When he had first returned to Sanctus, the world seemed mad. Vampires had major influence all over the world, and people seemed to accept it as the way of things. Even people in Sanctus were talking about needing to change their stance on issues because of the changing times. How wrong they were. Sanctus had returned to its roots in philosophy and action. Now the vampires were broken and on the run, Umbras influence was limited, and the world was beginning to stand against evil again.

Vian's cousin, Cyrus, had informed him of contracts for assassination upon several Sanctans heads. Unlike most people, Vian saw this as a good thing. It meant they were doing something right.

Despite all the progress they had made, and their future plans, the young Prince knew the world was far from safe. Evil was still there, it had just been driven underground. Supposed allies, friends, and even others......closer than that, had shown reason to be highly suspicious of them.

If only everyone could see that.
