LOL this is a run down and the hatreds and likes of the four counties that make up the united kigdom...

English hates = Scots, Welsh and Irish (With the irish they have always been the special whipping boy to the english)
Scots hates = English, Irish and Welsh
Welsh hates = English, Irish and Scots
Irish hates = English, Scots and Welsh

thats is the general views of the populance of each four.... all crammed on a couple of islands.....

it is not british people par say but the Church of England (Started by Henry the 8th, for the sole reason he wanted to marry someone else and the Vatican wouldn't allow him) and of course the Roman Catholic church.... and unfortuanatly Queen Elizabeth the 2nd is the head of the church of england.... who for all intense and purposes is virtually German.....

Hah, that about sums it up, we used to say in my Church History classes that the Church of England was founded "on the lustful loins of Henry VIII." I also have a barrage of other Church of England jokes here, as your the only Englisman I know of on these boards, and knowing you won't take offense...let me use one now. Perhaps the greatest loss of the period in my estimation was the loss of the extremely intelligent Humanist-philosopher Sir Thomas More who Henry had beheaded for refusing to acknowledge His Majesty as head of the Church in the King's Domain.

Q: Why can't the English play chess?

A: Because they can't tell the difference between a Queen and a Bishop.

An Anglican minister was walking along a cliff and fell over. He managed to grab a branch and could see the rocks five hundred feet below him. So he decided he had better pray. He looked up to heaven and said, "Is there anybody up there?" A loud voice came from heaven "Let go thy hand and I will hold thee up." The minister thought for a minute and looked up again "Is there anybody else up there?"
