|
I'd like to announce the March 15th Land Claim Tournament, hosted by MTC. It will begin at 9est, and the first fight will begin in the Lyceum, in Moonglow. This tournament will be on foot 1v1s only, and tournament rules can be found at http://bhcore.net/Colosseum/rules.html .
Now, to explain what this tournament will be about. All guilds that currently hold a land claim will be able to participate, and each guild will be permitted to choose one fighter, along with one other back-up fighter(Back up fighters are optional, if the guild wishes, it may only choose one champion), in case the first chosen fighter loses a match. Each participating guild will choose a certain spot within one of their land claims that their chosen fighter will fight within. For example, Moonglow has chosen the Lyceum as the spot our fighter will fight in. If necessary, in a guild's chosen spot, a make-shift arena can be made, like so:
The first fight will begin in Moonglow, in the Lyceum, with the Moonglow Champion fighting another participating guild's champion. The winner of that fight will then be able to choose which guild's champion he or she wants to fight. After the next combatant is chosen, the fight will move on to the challenged combatant's chosen spot (IE: Combatant A and combatant B fight in the Lyceum. Combatant B wins, and chooses to fight combatant C. Combatant B, along with whoever is watching the tournament, will move on to combatant C's chosen spot, and the fight will commence.) Note: These fights will only be fought in special locations within land claims to give off a sense of variety, and to make it so the champions of the participating guilds won't just be fighting within some private fel house, or some random dirt filled farm. These fights will in NO way put a guild's land claim at stake.
Each guild that wishes to participate will make an "item" that represents their guild, which will be wagered in the fights. This item may be whatever the guild wants it to be, as long as it doesn't have any "special powers"(IE: Cloak of Invisibility, etc), and as long as it represents their guild in some way. For example, Moonglow could make a sword, engraved with "Blade of Truth". If the Moonglow champion is defeated, then the "Blade of Truth" will be rewarded to the victor of that match. The winner of a fight may keep the "item" that has been rewarded to him, even if he is defeated later on in the tournament. Note: If a guild does decide to include a back-up fighter, then it will need to make two "items".
So, for a guild to sign up, the following things would need to be done on their part: Choose their champion (And back-up champion, if they choose to have one), create an item(s) that represent their guild, and choose a specific location they want their fighter to fight in. Once the rune to the spot chosen by the participating guild is given to me, I will handle everything else, such as making sure there is a spot or a makeshift arena prepared for the fighters, etc.
To sign up for the tournament, have either the Gm of the guild or the champion of the guild post the following:
ICQ:
Chosen land claim: (Will need to either PM me or ICQ me at 426058768, so you can give me a rune to the chosen spot within the land claim)
Name of combatant:
Name of back-up combatant(Again, optional):
Guild:
---
Also, I wanted to give out a thanks to the people who helped me with ideas :
Arakad- Tipped me off to the idea of a land claim tourny.
Vaen- Back up fighters.
Merci- "Items" used as wagers in the fights.

Reminded me of a pic from back when Moonglow and Umbra were allied.

Is there something about this Tournament that people dislike? If there is, please let us know so we could change it. It's -really- disappointing to see that only 3 guilds out of the entire community, wish to take part. There are -so- many other guilds..and its for fun.
Moonglow is changing their Champion, and moving Sarian to backup.
Cmon people, lets have a little spirit. The thread has been opened for nearly a month (I think). Why is it that -no one- else wants to take part? Just throw someone in, have a good time. Cmon. |

Tatiana Alexi can really make someone feel bad for killing her? But I will gladly show and die! When you are crafters, not too many are warriors too. _________________ aka: Tatiana Thorn nee Alexi; Summer Kane; Ivory Skyfire; and others |
