*A messenger from the City of Britain seeks out Cal Hurst on the Isle of Verity, bearing a message from the offices of Orelen Reacher.*

Lord Mayor Cal Hurst,

Word of your recent troubles has reached my ears. I offer my condolences for an assault on your home land. It is an unfortunate thing to be forced to defend your people and home.

Stating as such, I offer to you an armistice to last the length you determine to free your time, soldiers, and supplies to be put forth to a more noble cause... That of defending your home.

I, in no way, intend this to deter your efforts against Britain. Such an act would be cowardly and dishonorable. I have accepted your campagin and prepare for it. However, priorities must be to one's home, citizens and soldiers... I served Moonglow for a long while. I do not wish to see it threatened or fall due to forces being split on two fronts.

I fully accept the continuation of your campaign against britain when your defence of Moonglow is no longer necessary.

From one man to another, officialties aside, I offer this.

Accept or decline as you wish.

Sincerely,

Orelen Reacher.

*There is no sign or seal of Britain emblazoned on the letter, objected to usual.*

Orelen Reacher,

The campaign in Britain will not tax us heavily, as we have been asked to spare only five soldiers for the campaign. I assure you, Verity Island will remain well fortified while those five are off fighting. And, from what I've seen of this Legion of Honor, our new recruits could successfully defend the island with tattered robes, flimsy swords, and rubber arrows.

Your offer is appreciated, but it is unnecessary. It is good to know you still care for the island, even if you are somewhat of an opponent.

To state plainly, your generous offer is declined.

Be well,

Mayor Cal Hurst
