We fooled around long enough to gain the token of passage. Wasted time as it led us to the key of ataxis. But i still see children running in the streets. People chopping trees and ripping the mountians apart. If i climb the right tree I can take note the many ongoing wars in the far corners of mine compass. People are being stabbed to death, good and evil, when the life could simply be taken from them, and given back to the world as time. Then they could come back later.... Maybe.

There has been no real gain.

And so a checklist was made in cear's study. So that these follies may come to a quick and orderly close, and we may go on and prosper.

  • Spy on Ames the Monk
  • End all ties with the pleaders of chaos
  • Summon Malphas from the Stygian Abyss
  • Recover CrawWorth's Staff (staff of mondain?)
  • Assassinate someone
  • Preform a Ritual

Spying, on Ames the Monk

The cheering of the Cabalist as they left the settlement met with imidiate stiffle as they exited the gate east of empath abbey. They were all dressed in the guise and garb of the modern monk, and on their way to meet a most interesting man, Ames the monk.

Ames was the last dead end for the Cabal in their search for truth. Their quest for knowledge in regards to the Pleaders of Chaos, a small rivaling sect of chaos guards set into action at the death of Blackthorn. It was certianly intrieging enough to side-track the Cabal for 3 years. They had met several interesting charactors, a troll under a bridge, burned a man at the stake, uncovered mesterious items such as the Key to Ataxis, and stumbled upon intertwining legends of a staff gone missing since the death of Sage Winslow at the bottom of shame, and the rise and fall of the great paladin Jou'Nar.

Hopefully Ames would provide some closure.
In such hope, Dallben marched his brothers and sister to the abbey, moveing slow and steady, as Monks.

The Cabalist gathered outside the doors to the abbey. The plan was to gather what information they could, act as a monk would, and get out without having to kill anyone. Acting as a monk was what started the problems.

Off the bat Ames displayed charactoristics not that of a Monk. He was hostile and irratic. So the plan of slowly entering the abbey one by one over time was thrown out the window, and chaos insued. The new plan was to cause so much comotion that the cabalist could ransack the monk mansion. One Cabalist began milking a cow, the other undressed outside and stood as still and stiffled as a grenadier guard.

When the storm calmed and there was nothing left to do the Cabalist evacuated to the settelment of Blackrock. There was hardly any evidence gathered. It almost was a total dead end. But a date was recovered.
