Dear Malic,

After leaving you last eve after the trial, we recieved a message from Skara rangers. They needed help. We went there and found that there was a horrible snowstorm and bitter cold. We are unsure this message will reach you.

If you ask me, I suspect this is unnatural. If you have any spies around that might have any information on if it is some kind of spell, you might want to send them out. I lived in this area for all of my youth and that was many years and never have I experienced anything like this.

We could use some help here trying to clear the roads once the snow lets up some, if you have any men to spare. The drifts are over my head in some places.

I will dispatch a unit to aid you immediately. Try to get a complete count on how many people were in the city when the storm hit so that we know how many are accounted for and not. We will be there soon.

Getting the Messenger a few supplies and some warm clothing she hands him the note to Malic. They clear enough ground to get him close to the gate and he heads in that direction as she waves goodbye to him.

My Friend,

It is horrible here. The citizens were fighting in the streets in the snow over wood and clothing. We have managed to calm them and bring them into the tavern for food and warmth but there are quite a few elderly couples that just won't leave their homes. We have to keep checking on them from time to time and bring them wood and food.

Being this is a small town we probably have around one hundred or so people here. We have at least twenty that are staying with us in the tavern. Several families are fairly far from town. I would say four or five families with at least four children and other relations. Those would probably number around thirty-five or more. We can not get to them to check on them, the weather is just too bad. The shopkeepers are staying with their families in their shops so that would be the other twenty five or so. They seem to be holding their own. The rangers are still patroling as best they can and we feed them and give them dry clothing inbetween patrols. We are seeing more travelers ending up here as well which will add to the count.

Thank you for any aid you can give, it is getting worse. The snow is still falling. As it lets up we do what we can to clear a path to the Moongate but it is a loosing battle I am afraid. This is very odd...I have never seen anything like this.
