|
This note is really not quite clear as to how it was delivered, it could be that it arrived magically, it could be a bird dropped it at his feet, it could be that it flew right past his head. The only thing certain is that he would wish to read it.
Zephryn Gryfith,
You and I have danced around a dangerous game these past few months, and I felt it best to give you fair notice. The time has come for you to die, truly you must think it odd that i am so blatant. Yet this is my style. I am sure by all respects you are a fine man, but the fact remains that you were suppose to die years ago. This oversight must be corrected. I am sure you will agree that if one makes a mistake they must immediately fix it and move on. So I am writing to you, any preference in manner of death? Being a Necromancer yourself, I know it wont be an easy task. Theres beheading, strangulation, poison...Or i could just drink you dry of your blood. Well let me know dear sir, send word back I think you know where to send it, at least I would hope, if not I will just make up an appropriate death when I come for you.

Glancing down to the letter and arching an eyebrow, Zephryn stood silenty and stared. After a long minute or two, deciding to read it, Zephryn kneeled to the ground and picked it up. Without bothering to stand, sit, or move in any real capacity, Zephryn opened the letter and proceeded to scan over it. Blinking, Zephryn stood quickly. He meant to speak, but paused, searching the surrounding area. As if met with dissapointment that his apparent doom was not immediately apparent, he found a chair and penned a responce.
Dear Agatha,
I must conceed that your notice is indeed fair, though it is debatable as to whether or not the fairness counts for much as the rot without death I was exposed to for so many years seems decidedly unfair. Never the less, Agatha, I am interested in seeing what tricks you might have up your sleeves. I couldn't really tell last time we encountered one another, Agatha as I beleive you were running away. I suppose in the end it's all the more reason to give you your chance though. I simply ask that upon my death you do not expose me to your dreadful Jon, for the great family Gryfith has long enough endured his plight. I do hope you will grant me this, Agatha, for my method of transportation into the afterlife I leave to you.
See you soon, Agatha, and happy hunting.
*Written with flair*
Zephryn Gryfith

This note most decidedly comes whizzing near his ear perhaps even hitting it. The angry intent of the letter most appropriate.
Zeph,
Since you wish to play games my dear lord I will point out to you that I was only running because you caught me mid slaying of your precious cousin Nightshade. It was an inopportune time for you to be making such an appearance. The bird is going to get it to if I have my say in it. I have decided that beheading is to quick and clean that I want to strangle you assuredly as I would derive great pleasure from wrapping my hands about your neck and squeezing the air out of your lungs personally. You should be glad that I am taking such a personal interest in correcting this mistake and that your last vision will be of my lovely face....

Jonathan sat bemusedly at his desk as the thoughts of Agatha coursed through his minds. With a sigh he let out a minor, and short discourse.
"She had better not let me down." |

Grinning with glee at the sight of another letter, Zephryn grabbed at it with a speed that betrayed his sleep deprived demeanor. Quickly reading over the message Zephryn gave a short but loud laugh, as if he had triumphed, and penned yet another responce.
Aga,
While a majority of your points are valid ones, it seems to me that a common theme presents itself in your desires to end my life. Whether it be beheading or strangulation, you'd get a very good look at the eyes only blessed upon males of the family Gryfith. Seeing as how I'm the last one, I can't say I blame your eagerness- and thank's again for that in case I haven't mentioned it recently.
No matter our differences though, barring your irritation at my ability to unwravel your mind, I am still eagerly awaiting that lovely face you mentioned, and all the glory that shall be our final bout accompanying it.
See you soon, AGGIE
ZEPHRYN
P.s.
I spent my childhood training that bird, you'll find it a far greater difficulty to dispose of it than myself I'd wager. _________________ "You see I can not be forsaken, because I'm not the only one. We walk amongst you, beating, r#ping, must we hide from everyone?" - Jon Davis |

A level of frustration betook Jonathan's normally quite calm demeanor as he read the letter through Aggie.
Agatha Se'Leraun,
This isn't a game.
Kill Zephryn. Nightshade and the "Bird" are mine.
I'll not remind you again.
Lord Jonathan Strathmore
He sent the letter off in the hands of his messenger. |

Aggie read the letter the smile on her face fading. For a moment her face changed softly illuminated by the candle light. Yet it eventually fell blank and she nodded in the darkness to herself.
*sighing softly* She never had any fun. As you wish Milord. The deed will be done.
Many people have walls and prisons, physical barriers were abundant, trapping and locking people away. Yet not all prisons were physical impediments. She had no choice, Zephyrn, wonderous eyes or not would have to be dispatched. No more fun and games, her face took on a hard edge and she softly blew out the candle. |
