"It'll be okay Caia. Mommy and Daddy will take care of that foul man." Cinnamara said, hugging Caia gently, before glancing to Davaran. He nodded to her, and they departed, leaving Caia to stay with Lady Ivory until Taramir came to take her back home.
Upset was definitely not the word to describe how she felt about the events of the early evening. Spawn had given her little girl a severed head. Was there no sanctity within this war, that even children had to be a victim of it?
Cinnamara and Davaran had gone looking for Spawn. He was going to pay, one way or another, for the foul act he'd done towards their daughter.
Dark Cove wasn't the ghost town she thought it would have been that late at night. A young girl, whom she learned to be the daughter of Audrina and Beowulf, Vaen Swiftar, and Reva had been standing in front of the castle. Spawn, however was nowhere to be seen.
The little girl was hilarious. Such a young, crazy little girl, with her giant hat and imaginary parchment. Davaran had given her a bracelet. But why? She was unsure of her husbands intent. Maybe it was just a trinket, but it looked all too familiar.
The journey home had been quick. Cinnamara glanced to Davaran, frowning slightly. "I'm going to go up and check on Caia.. I'll be back." she moved up the stairs, before entering the small lobby that split off through two doors to Caia and Dragan's rooms. She peeked in on Dragan first, finding him nestled down beneath his blankets asleep, before moving to slip into Caia's room.
Caia lay asleep in her bed, her Aunt Taramir, asleep beside her, holding Caia tight, letting her know that she was safe. Cinnamara leaned down, kissing Caia's forehead before disappearing from the room, back down the stairs to face her husband.
"What are we going to do?" she asked, glancing to Davaran as she moved to take a seat. "The children aren't even safe in Sanctus anymore, let alone here." _________________ Women's Motto: Live your life in such away, that when your feet hit the floor in the morning, the devil himself shudders and says, "Oh snap, She's awake!" |

Dav slipped out from under the sheets, the sound of his footsteps muffled by the engulfing silence of the Malas night. He took a seat on the roof, laying his elbows on the cool stone table. Templeing his fingers he let his mind wander to recent events..one name rolled off into the inky blackness of the night
"Oggaroth...."
Davaran had never faced such a perplexing foe in his lifetime. One that seemed to have no motives, no flaw to exploit, but he had sworn that he'd have a hand in the god's undoing, and it was a promise he had ever intent of keeping...the day had been draining, soon Dav's head began to stoop, the cool of the night drawing him into a shallow sleep.
"Explode.Flame strike, lighting Dav, just keep trying"
The calm memories of the past soon gave way to the nightmare of memories Dav kept locked deep within his mind, urging him to return to the comfort of his bed. He was greeted by Cinnamara, leaning against the turn to their room, her face distraught with worry.
Let's go back to bed, dear." |
