There had been a break in Rufus’s searching, a moment for him to return to the peoples of Britannia, despite his search for spiritual oneness and answers. His time in Illshenar brought about many thoughts; he considered Sarah’s pregnancy, the Regency and its members, the peoples of Britannia as a whole and oddly, Alarin. In his moments of confusion, his meditation within the Terot Skitas; during his walks about the natural dirt roads within the jungles he pondered all these things. And in the weeks he was absent, he wished to be home. Well the time for his trip home had come…

For most, it was a simple as an enchanting word, or a trot to the nearest moongate. But for Rufus, the return journey would act as a reminder of what he had learned, and a push to hurry to the things he cherished. His conversations with passersby, his sermons and talks amongst the wondering gypsies of Illshenar; all things that made his stay so important…the things he searched for, in the land of the virtues. He saw oneness, knowledge, Virtues, and chaos. He witnessed magicks and enchantments, he experienced meditation, and thought of things he should make habits to practice; Rufus knew that he should dedicate his life to spirituality, for many had decided that long before, but he was never truly sure…all this came from his stay in Illshenar. But what he was returning to was just as important.

Rufus passed the Twin Oaks Tavern, looking to it one more time before entering the woods that lead to the moongate that brought him here. He thought of the practice of Spiritmancy oft. Twas a “gift” Alarin had given to him, and something he pushed himself to maintain…so upon his return that would be one of his objectives. He narrowed his eyes a bit, and hurried his horse to the Shrine, which held the moongate, and at the entrance, stood a Unicorn. As his horse slowed and stood before the creature, Rufus smiled a bit. “Such a wondrous creature…what beauty I leave behind. Mayhaps I will return and we’ll share majestic stories fair unicorn.” Rufus bow’s his head, wandering into the moongate.

He appeared a short ways from the road leading to Britain. Stormhaven was only a short way from him, but Rufus knew he should tend to Blackthorn’s castle. Possibly there were parchments of news and happenings there for him, as well as a ready bed for him to rest. He signals his mount to run with great haste. Upon his reaching Britain, most persons, smiling as they bowed their heads, greeted him. Though he was short of conversation, his intentions and hopes were all about them. His arrival at the castle doors was a sensational feeling and something comforting. Soldiers saluted the Regent, showing their content with his return. Rufus simply nodded and made his way to his bedchamber. Quite a few missives had been stacked upon his desk, one of Humanis’s acceptance into the Regency…another of a rumor of Molly leaving. So much Rufus had missed, such interesting changes…how to address these concerns. He gathered himself, readied his parchment and pen upon his desk and simply stepped away from the desk a bit, falling to his knees to begin prayer…

“Oh divine entities that do govern that which is logical and illogical. Entities and deities that craft time and space, and allow man and all races to govern themselves but under your watching. Grant me the ability to adhere to the peoples wishes, wills, and ideals. Allow me the strength to speak to them confidently and have them confide in me when lost…for the day that we are truly unified and positive is upon use. Perhaps genesis has crafted a will for me…or a stronger me all together. Tis what I will show them…”

The Robed man gathered himself and quietly sat at his desk preparing his missives…
