It blended well into the shadows of the doorway and settled in to wait.....waiting for that shade of light that was the living. Each new one that came to DarkCove had to be identified. It was not to attack those that in the others' language they called Dark Order. Accidents did happen however. It had been on more than one occassion when they had been identified too late.
To all the shadow wraiths, the living were prey. Nothing more. It was only through the control of those they felt a pull towards, that held them at bay and in control. The ones they called Bailos and Tarothin were two of the few that weilded that pull.

All strangers to DarkCove were at the mercy of all the shadow wraiths. This particular wraith was a Seeker. Less likely to attack on sight than the Hunter. And so, her ...it's.. possition was outside to more warn of intruders, than instant death. The hunter, Darauko they called him, was drawn mosty to the inside. Keeping watch over the Armunn family itself.

Many times stangers had come to DarkCove, yet many times all the Shadow Wraiths had been held at bay. Those living Dark Order ones wanted the prey. There was no anger, no jealousy, no emotion about this. It was what it was. At such times, this wraith, this Seeker, hunted and alerted for targets that may be hidden, or fleeing. Like a cat playing with it's prey, this wraith seemed to almost play with the living as she lured the lighted living ugliness to the Hunter, Darauko, to bring it to it's beautiful coldness of death.
It was a rare event when one would slip through into the keep without a wraith's knowledge. But at busy times, it happened. And so Darauko, ever diligent, kept a watchful eye inside.
