All joking aside...
The area around Ice Island if no one opposes I shall formally name on behalf of the RP history there.
Gimme a day to pick a cool name. |

It would be cool to have a few names. The old ancient names around dark cove and the new names that have been given since the Dark Order moved in and what they are called now.
For instance:
Old name:
D|O name and what its called now:
etc.
etc. |

Ahh well in ultima unline lore, the lake in Umbra originally was named the Gatewater. Later, because of all the ships that would come through it and crash, it became known, and is still known to this day as Gravewater Lake.
Umbra likes this name as it is, so we have not renamed it ^_^ |

Ice Island? What is that? Is that Dagger Isle where OES and Wintermoor used to be? If so, this better be a damn fine name!
I am actually surprised at the interest in this topic, considering I have heard next to nothing about people having anything to do with with sea travel. All land and gating. Is the recent trend just in the interest of getting a chance to name something for yourself? _________________ Femmies?! HOWAH!

It's mostly out of coolness factor of having names for bodies of water and I would like to also add on names for deserts and forests if those are missing as well.
Would add an extra touch of realism and rp. |

On this topic i have nothing to add in terms of names of seas, however I think I'd like to point out that according to UO Auto Map there are several instances of Bay Like areas that DO have names, so might want to be careful in the areas you choose to name. For instance, Lost Hope bay comes to mind. I'm all for the seas being named though that'd be bad ass. _________________ "You see I can not be forsaken, because I'm not the only one. Well, I don't know where they got the names, but UO Auto Map has names for most of the bays and lakes and whatnot. Not so much the oceans.
The bay NW of Minoc is Lost Hope Bay.
The bay NW of Cove is Loch Lake.
N of Wind is Arrow's Point Bay.
S of Britain Brittney Bay.
The tiny lake S of Trinsic is Hart Lake.
There is a few more if anyone cares. They named all the islands and mountain ranges and lots of other geographic things too. I don't know where UOAM got these names, but I thought it was kinda funny that the bay near D|O was Lost Hope Bay. _________________ When asked of the future...

D|O will keep that name, lost hope bay due to the irony of them just taking over Minoc.
It fits so well. |
