Letter addressed to Mayor Triest and written in an agitated hand written style:

Dear Mr. Triest,

I have come across something that disturbs me greatly, sir. I wasn’t sure until today. It is with much sadness that I must report this.

The zoo has been loosing money. The zoo’s supply chain from the Covetous area has been broken somehow. We are receiving very few, if any donations from this area.

I have heard whispers of events that are transpiring in the Covetous region. For the good of the zoo and a portion of the economy of Moonglow itself, what is Moonglow to do? The zoo will continue to be a drain on Moonglow’s economy unless steps are taken.

My only concern is the zoo, and of course, I will follow the decisions of the council.

The zookeeper scoffed with a sly smile on his face as he signed the letter. The words rang in his head. He scratched his chin as he leaned back in his chair. Everything will be just fine in the end. The keeper relaxed visibly as he attached the message to the crane. As it took off from the elf's hand, the large bird left the zookeeper with a little message of its own. The wet and slightly chunky sensation that was felt on his left cheek was now running just a little too close to his mouth. Daz wiped his face clean of this most recent donation to the zoo and went back to cursing and spitting out the taste of fresh crane poo.

Fong entered the Mayors office to do a bit of paper work when he noticed an unopened letter. The seal was that of the Zoo and Fong assumed it to be offical matters. Opening it he quickly read the letter and nodded to himself. Removing ink and a quill he quickly penned a response.

Daz,

Samon and I have discussed the matter and we think it to be in the best interest of the council to begin exporting food out of Ilshnar for the Zoo. Enclosed with this letter is five thousend gold peices to assemble a caravan of sherpa and pack llamas. We believe you will find some of the hunting grounds just as pleantiful as the depths of Covetous. Thank you for your concern and please keep us informed on the well being of the creatures.

Fong sealed the letter and left it in Daz's office on his already cluttered desk.
