I am working on planning a weekly event that will be open to the community. I am almost ready to go public with it. The only issue is designating the time and day of the week it is to be.

If the guild leadership in the community could please suggest the best day I can work a time that won't interfere with meetings and the such.

Well sir, this might not work out trying to juggle around both Sanctus and Umbra weekly things, as both guilds have multiple nights they do things per week.

Is it a weekly event that can occur twice weekly?

I would say do it when you and your guild-mates are most available.

Trying to get a date to fit the community as a whole is a complicated thing indeed.

My RP classes, Umbra's training and Sanctus' training are all on the same day I believe.
