Joanna knelt, gazing at the pile of bones before her. They radiated with so much magical energy, the hairs on her arms stood on end.

She still couldn't believe that they had done it. A long line of clues and old whisperings, lost chapters and centuries old stones had led to the discovery before her. Together, she and the Magnate had been the first to find the remains of Zog, the ancient mage who had cast the spell given to him by the Xorinites, the wisps. The spell of Armageddon that had destroyed all life from their world.

The bones were thousands of years old, and yet here they remained, preserved by their own energy. Her mind reeled as she contemplated the dire warnings of the scribe of the Lycaeum. They were too powerful to be in a museum. As a scribe of the Lycaeum herself, she had read the tales of what had become of similar remains of powerful beings. The Relics of Mondain had still not been recovered. At a time when there was so much chaos in the world with the Bane Army and now Queen Dawn's kidnapped husband, they couldn't afford to let these powerful bones fall into the wrong hands. Now the Xorinite wanted them. And Bellatrix would borrow the power of the wisps to get her hands on them, as well. To what end? More of her foul trees, like they had battled in Umbra only weeks before?

But, some good had come of it, right? Old novels with missing chapters had been recovered. Forgotten lands had been discovered and she had learned a thing or two about the origin of their world. It was true the bones were an important archeological discovery, but she could not deny the very real fear in that old scribe's words.

"Do we have the power to protect the world? Is there a danger************************************* It is not worth the risk***************I will hide the fossil, I will tell them there was nothing left here to find******************I once loved this place. No more**************I will hide it in a place no one would think to look..."

They had been discovered originally on Rytabul.. the original land, and she had hidden them to protect the world.

And no one had thought to look for them, until the Timelord had told them to. Neither she nor Isk could decide what to make of him, but they had witnessed the very real threat present if Bellatrix were to have these relics. They couldn't afford to allow it, lest the whole world end up looking like their own ruined Magincia. So, the bones were left safe and concealed, where they were, for now. To bring them back to Magincia would place their island in even more peril. The Timelord had sent them to find them, and so, he would be relied on to hide them once again.
