*rumble groooowl*

Tari's concentration faltered, making the spell she was casting fail. She looked around the boat she was on, trying to find the source of the noise. Hopefully the boat wasn't falling apart; she was a long way from shore and was not a good swimmer at all.

*growl gurgle rumble*

She felt like an idiot. At some point, she had forgotten to eat at least one meal, who knows if she missed more while out at sea.

"Tillerman, stop!"

"Aye, sir" came the reply. Tari glared at the tillerman, tempted to shove her breasts in his face and explain how much of a "sir" she was not, but decided against it. The poor man wasn't very smart, always starting stories without finishing them and running the boat ashore. Incompetent blind idiot, she thought as she settled down to eat. Tari conjured some food, threw the fruits overboard and began to munch on a cooked chicken.

The past couple days had been rather slow and very uneventful. Training was going well, but her mastery of newer, more elaborate spells was going slow as they naturally do. She had started practicing in the Jail, but soon realized that casting Hailstorm over and over left a very slippery sheen of ice over everything. So she decided to move the training outside, and then figured that while she was out she might as well buy a small boat and sail a bit. Perhaps the change of scenery would help clear her head...

A cold breeze made Tari shiver. She looked up from her meal and noticed Dagger Isle in the distance. She smiled, remembering the woman she had met a few days previous. They had ended up in the woman's home on Dagger Isle, enjoying a drink while resting in the woman's sauna. Tari had never before given a second thought about human or elven woman; for the most part they were on the same level as any man: capable of making fine friends, but nothing more. This woman, however, was different. She was...tempting somehow. Tari shook her head, frowning a bit. Things were getting complex; first Malia, now Sara? Damnit! This wasn't exactly the type of adventure I was looking for. Should Malia find out what happened...
